Fourth Thursday and we’re continuing with our informal talks. As with Jon’s Node Red walk through the talk will be in one area while the making goes on in another. Other talks have included Tim who demystified SQL and Ben who introduced his workhorse PIC.

This week Keith will be giving us a broad overview of 3D modelling in AutoDesk Fusion 360. This is a powerful, easy to use modelling environment free to Makers for Windows and MacOS. It can produce very nice 3D renders as well as easily outputting files for 3D printing or laser cutting. Keith will outline the general workflow which he has come to know well whilst designing last years Pi Wars entry along with a live demonstration.

Remember that project work and socialising are still on the agenda. Whether you want to bring your notepad (and pen) or your soldering iron, or both there’s bound to be something to get your nerd senses buzzing.

The location has lots of parking in the UCS carpark nearby, lots of space plus a kitchen and toilets. There’s usually tea, coffee and cake on hand and your first meeting is free. We’re a friendly crew and you can always drop me a line if you’re planning on popping in and I’ll keep an eye out for you.
